This is an excellent graphic that we use to display some of the phases and roles we employ in an IT development project. It can serve as a ball-park figure to estimate the people you need and the amount of resources you'll need (the percentages). It can help in planning because important things like project management overhead, project closure and preparation for maintenance will not be forgotten. Of course it also displays a very important aspect of Dexels development process: two iterative (agile) loops in both the design and development phases. Download the PDF version for printing.
This graphic has Dutch captions; if you are interested in seeing an English version, feel free to contact me.
