A complete software solution for sports unions

The Sportlink Bond application is a complete software solution for sports unions. Not only can they register their members and competitions, but Dexels has also developed several modules for communicating with officials, clubs and players. With years of developement and continuous improvement, Sportlink has grown to the position of market leader in sports related software in the Netherlands.

Numbers and facts: across all unions 1.100 union members use the system. They manage almost two million members, 7.000 clubs and over 10.000 accomodations. The KNVB alone plans a mere 30.000 matches a week, assigning 7.000 officials. The system fully operates on a Navajo web service layer consisting of approximately 1.800 web services, taking care of 500 service calls a minute 24/7.        year in year out.

Implemented with: Java, Tipi XML, Navajo web services, Oracle Stored Procedures and views.

Runs on: An Oracle database layer accessed  by several Navajo application servers and Crystal Reports Reports servers. The application is being published using Java Web Start, requiring a standard webserver. For each of the phases developing, testing, acceptation and production seperate clusters have been erected.
